Sepp Dietrich SS
Sepp Dietrich spent part of his youth as a butchers apprenticethen rose through the ranks of the German army to command the sixth SS Panzer Army. Colonel-General Joseph ‘Sepp’ Dietrich SS1893-1966 Ever met that kind of guy. That sits and stares you in the eye, You know he’s squaring for a fight, Just hoping for a scrap tonight. Pugnacious looking-cocky to, Violence comes oozing through, Never seen him in your life, Clocking you-then your wife. ‘Sepp‘ Dietrich fits that bill, Punching people for a thrill, Swaggering braggart and bully to, Glowering over yours and you. You would have thought this man, Would have been an also ran. No education, to speak of, Seemingly- all push and shove. Then soldiering caught Seppy’s eye, He waved the butchers shop good bye, In 1911 he starts his climb, Through the ranks in double time. The Great War came and went, A rising star in this event, A Sgt. Majors badge he wore, Well decorated for this tour. The war lost on Berlins say, The Freikorps- his next foray, Fighting Commies on the street, The reds soon beat a quick retreat. Dietrich soon caught Hitler’s ear. Hitler quick to commandeer. They formed the SS Leibstandarte, Head bouncer then was Seppy’s part. 33’ became Dietrich’s year, A star in Major-Generals gear, In charge of Hitler’s murder squad, And boy! did he ride roughshod? Killing all no questions asked, For Dietrich just a menial task, But soon again the winds of war, Had General Dietrich back on tour, No disgrace at high command, With some success on Russian land, Then he moved to western shores, But allied pilots closed the doors. Through a long military career, Geneva’s rules did not appear, To concern Dietrich, in any way, Only Dietrich would hold sway. At Nurembourg we would hear The cruelties of this career, Unarmed prisoners made to stand, The last word heard-the fire command. Jb.Acoy 3 para.©© http://pub49.bravenet.com/forum/4204046111/ |
MODESTY
would it better if men were more scared
and women stopped praising he-men who dared
would it be better if tenderness reigned
those blood and guts ‘nerviest’ held and restrained.
would it be better if modesty prevailed
and we kissed and caressed all those who failed
ticker tape welcomes for those who are quiet
who mind their own business refusing to fight
me thinks would be better to stop making guns
by spending the money on laughter and puns
I hope in the future we’ll think again
and governments think deeply bout women and men
the animal kingdoms no problem at all.
its humans that’s spreading and taking it all
should we consider our productive rate
lesson our urge to procreate.
china had fun with this little game
should we take stock and do the same
nature tells us to watch our stock
or we could be in for a blooming big shock
i woke up this morning and this came to mind.
silly old me just trying to be kind..
my lucid mind gave its best shot.
Im sorry folks but that’s all ive got jb

Superstition
It is deadly supposition.. What is it then that makes us pray, That makes us creep and crawl all day, That makes us read some silly script, Our pride and confidence slyly stripped. What is then that transfers our minds, To heavens and angels and spiritual kinds, To attend Cathedrals in little groups, To dress in robes as ‘exemplar’ troops. What is it then that makes us build, On fertile land where food was tilled, Huge Cathedrals and Churches to, Just to sing and confess anew. Does it help in anyway, To wile away the hours of day, Dressed in black and on your knees, Praying to something and making pleas. Is it selfishness that makes them think, We all need them to cower and shrink, On our behalf at their request, So that our souls be sublimely blessed. The whiff of selfishness stirs the air, Me thinks it's just themselves they care, The work is easy and less to think From competition they wilt and shrink This God they advocate with fuss, When ask for proof they looked nonplussed, O proof, O proof, what for you need, The devils home you'll go with speed. My lucid mind begins to stir, Im in the hands of a blackmailer I only ask for what your sales?, Then they came back as hard as nails. So business then shall prevail, In Woolworth’s by an honest sale, The Church an inquisition me thinks Proof of content surely stinks. Christmas
did you notice babys face
trying hard at table grace
spitting out and wondering why
nothing goes in mouth or eye
did you notice startled eyes
when poppers pop and trailers fly
and christmas lights blink and flash
then new found toys whirl and crash.
did you notice granma's care
trying to catch babys stare
making faces and sucking lips
twiddling fingers and making quips.
then tapping granpa on the knee
watch that drink- im telling thee
just one more and thats enough
Ive seen you on that malted stuff.
and then more kids come hussling in
what a ruckus- what a din
don't stand up youll lose your seat
your ageing limbs cannot compete
youths and girlfriends then appear
showing off their flashy gear
drinks all round and giggles to
last nights sipping starts anew.
the smell of cooking fills the air
tables laid with special care
paper hats and tinsel to
take your turn and join the queue
eating done and tables cleared
then some faces disappeared
pulling crackers- whats in this
give a tug and make your wish
that's my toy- dont you dare
a little friction in the air
children squabble- then settle down.
taking note of fathers frown.
just a glance of chrismas day
cheers to all I hope and pray.
the new year brings to everyone.
the well sung words of lennons song.

Giap
General Vo Nguyen Giap General Giap.Who defeated the French at Dien Bien phu.And forced a political defeat on combined Forces in the Vietnam War. In fairness to the combined forces [largelyAmerican] they won every major land battle that was fought in the Vietnam War including the Tet Offensive. They were indeed military victorious but lost the political initiative.
A small village in North Vietnam,
Is where the Great Generals life began,
In village huts, with muck packed floors,
The French commanded and made the laws.
An Xa village was quite unknown,
For hundreds of years rice was grown,
Goats and animals moved around,
Muck and dung covered the ground.
But young Giap wasn't the same,
Inside his head was an excellent brain,
He didn't like the French in command,
It wasn't their culture it wasn't their land.
Off to Hoa to school he went,
On intellectual progress he was bent,
At just 13, his nationalist mind,
Was causing trouble- a mature kind.
This precocious child the French noticed,
The Surete added him to their list,
Not knowing then he would bid them adieu,
At the battle of Dien Bien Phu.
A degree in economics he would attain,
His countries freedom his earnest aim,
Military tactics he studied with zeal,
The intelligence to master, and turn, for real.
At Dien Bien Phu he made his name,
A place in government he did attain,
With Directive 15 the North made its claim,
Unification was their ultimate aim.
So General Giap was placed in command,
The mandate- to unite and free his land,
Political adventure the stuff of dreams,
Only unification- by military means.
All through the sixties the battle raged.
To set piece battles the North rarely engaged,
A guerrilla campaign Giap wanted and got,
Time was irrelevant in his little plot.
But time was important on the American scene,
American dead on the TV screen,
After Tet they knew it was lost
Giap had won at enormous cost
Vietnam is free as ever its been,
Whether its better remains to be seen,
The best laid plans of mice and men,
At least they put Humpty together again.

Tooly
Shout Shout! Shout! then shout some more, as men strive to settle score, two faced Tooly elbows in, departing from his rubbish bin. Claiming style panache and dash, churning out ambiguous trash, arsehole creeping round the flock, holy spirits his selling stock. Four thousand years of hope and pray, murder, mayhem, kill, and slay, silken dalliance the elders wear, as choir boys bottoms they lay bare. Tooly belongs to this two faced lot, mature minds would have them shot, Inquisition, burn, and tears, Millions slaughtered o'er the years. Believe in god or thou shall die, he gives the orders from on high, ask the Pope his rep on earth. Human psyche arrested at birth. 2003John b |

Zig Zag
ZIG ZAG In 1917 Balfour declared, Tormented Palestine could be shared, Both sides gave a promising nod, Combined talents unease was shod. A Palestine majority didn’t stop war, Retalitary acts they both stood for, Husseini tried his Arab rise, Fleeing to Hitlers was his demise. Peel and Woodhead tried their plot, A Jewish minority was their lot, A foot in the sand could be the way, Then Lord Moyne Lehi did slay. The U.N. issues it’s report, Equal division was it’s resort, The Jews gave a reluctant yes, Break through here the world would bless. But not so it seems in Arab eyes, Reluctance could be their demise, Opportunity indeed here was missed, To attend the table submit their list. Resolution 181 was the way, Equal opportunity equal play, Jerusalem under protective care, Till Arab and Jew learned to share. The gun and bomb get publicity yes, But not to clear this awful mess, This type of war will come to an end, With both sides learning to yield and bend. Your war is spreading across the globe, It needs restricting to your abode, 9/11 proved nothing at all, American people still stand tall. The table as usual will clear the air, Twill end your torment and despair, 181 a way to success, Now the table you must address. ©©© JB |
DELLA ROSE COTTAGE
Della Rose Cottage Della Rose Cottage is being reborn, The dreams of centuries stripped and torn, In pristine condition it should remain, But slightly twisted and out of frame. What memories it aspires to evoke, Since first its chimney extruded smoke, Thousands of birds have made their nests, Families born then laid to rest. The fields around are just the same, As when Napoleon came to fame, 200 years of laughter and tears, Children playing with giggles and jeers. When first its humble footings were laid, Nelson was putting the Danes in the shade, At Copenhagen he made his name, Assuring himself of lasting fame. Della Rose Cottage has a new mistress now, A humble lady with skill and know-how, Her name is Paula she is so bright. A beautiful lady with skill and foresight. Wappenham village is in for a treat,. When at last they gather and meet, To see the cottage they've known for years, Afresh with life and full of good cheers. John bishop. 1©©©8 /9/03. |

Love.
jobee Love. When I say I love you then, Would you care to hear again Your face reveals nought to me, I feel I need to find some key. Im okay within myself, Would you care to trouble your self, Ever thought to lower your pride, Put personal feelings to one side. Ever thought to be a girl ., With mind and body in a whirl, To walk and talk then jest with me, We'll sit beside some country tree. Holding hands and being nice, Let our lips touch, once or twice, I'll just admire your lovely face, As bodies touch in warm embrace. Lets sit beside that country pond, Where you walk and seem so fond, Where water boatmen skip and play, Protected from the heat of day. By weeping willows and fronded trees, Swaying gently in evenings breeze, Watch ripples form and circle out, And baby ducks go walk about. See speckled sunlight filter down, On shimmering water that makes us frown, And rustling reeds that gently sway, Could it be where fairies play? Tomorrow then do you agree? I'll meet you by the village tree, We'll walk and talk and kiss again, When I say, I love you then. copyright |
